How MuseAI Studio works

MuseAI reads plain text — no setup, no story bible to fill in first. Lines that look like chapter headings (“Chapter One”, “CHAPTER 12”) split your draft into chapters; a draft without headings is treated as one chapter. Your draft autosaves to your account as you write.

Select a passage and choose Continue (carry the scene forward), Expand (add texture and detail), or Polish (sharpen clarity and rhythm). The assistant works from your surrounding prose so the result reads like you — and what it adds is plain text in your draft: keep it, rework it, or cut it. You stay the author.

A continuity check extracts the facts of your story — names, traits, timelines — and flags what contradicts across chapters: an eye colour that changed, a timeline that slipped, a name that drifted.

Each check covers up to 3 chapters and 8,000 words(whichever limit hits first), and the report states exactly what was checked and what wasn't. No silent gaps. Whole-book, always-on tracking is what Pro will add — it isn't open yet.

Your draft and your latest report persist server-side, on the free tier. Export your draft as Markdown anytime from the workspace account menu, or delete your account — which permanently removes your draft, reports, story bibles and their build runs, credits, and waitlist entry. Each assist spends 1 credit and each continuity check spends 2 from your free balance — the meter in the workspace header shows what's left. A run that fails is refunded. When the tank runs dry, that's where Pro comes in — joining the waitlist is free and charges nothing.
